Black Man features


Rig could be downloaded for testing at: 
Body
  • Has a stretchable spine (separate controls for cog, hip and spine to accommodate the position of the torso)
  • Has controls on the clavicle and the shoulder. They move pretty well, but it needs more refinement on the deformations to make  the movement of the scapula believable.
  • NOTES: Neck control moves but doesn't rotate. Head control rotates, but doesn't move. This is not a problem if the neck could have the ability to rotate. Also deformations when the head rotates could be done better on the back.
Feet and legs
  • IK/FK switch on the feet  (on the channel box one can change the percentages of IK and FK constraints)
  • IK/FK controls have manual controls on the channel box to control individual parts of the feet and legs.  For both, IK and FK they have the properties to move the feet, such as: Curl, Bend, Spread and Twist.
  • FK controls are working properly.
  • IK controls are working fine as well. They have additional attributes on the channel box :Peel heel , Stand Tip, Twist Heel, Twist Toe and Toe tap. 
  • NOTES: It would be nice to make the IK controls of the feet have the ability to rotate, right now they just move.
Hands and arms
  • IK/FK switch in the wrist  (on the channel box one can change the percentages of IK and FK constraints)
  • IK and FK controls, have the ability to move the  arms and the hands effectively. 
  • NOTES: They need a switch to change how they are constaint to different attributes      (the world, the body or the shoulders). This would help to make the animator take more control of the movement of the arms.
  • FK controls are working properly.
  • IK controls are working properly.
  • NOTES:For both FK and IK: It needs Fk controls for the fingers to control the position of the phalanges.  Deformations on the fingers are in progress.
  • Elbow also needs a switch to constrain it to the world or to the arm.
Hair
  • Hair is in progress.
  • RIght now the hair controls can move, but they can't rotate and the deformations could be done better.
